The Songs You Love.
The Songs You've Forgotten.
The Songs You've Never Heard.
About NOGs Radio
Brand new for 2026, NOGs Radio is here to provide music & chat in the way radio ran in the 80s and early 90s. NOGs stands for Neil’s Old Geezers/Gals and is a nod to the late great Terry Wogan and his TOGs. Terry was a true DJ’s DJ.
NOGs Radio is intended for people who are fed up with the “Greatest Hits” format that the rest of the world seems to have adopted. Yes, there will be plenty of your all-time favourites throughout the day, but there will also be a lot of tracks that you’ve either not heard for a very long time,
or have never heard at all.
Our presenters know their stuff, and have all been doing it for a long time. In founding NOGs Radio I’ve made it very clear to the rest of the team that I just want them to enjoy themselves and play music that they’re passionate about. I’m not going to micro-manage them; our audience will let us know what we’re getting right, and what we’re getting wrong.
Be sure to have your say – you can either email the studio or message through our dedicated NOGs Facebook page – where you’ll also find plenty of camaraderie and humour.
So, whether you want to really get involved, or just want to sit back and listen, we hope that you’ve found what you were looking for on NOGs Radio!
Neil, January 2026

Breakfast Show
Neil Whiteside
Neil has been doing “Radio” shows since he was in his teens – so, let’s face it, a few years now! Those early shows were for a group of friends at school, and over the years his audience figures have nearly doubled!
Spells on Hospital Radio, Community Radio and finally Commercial Radio led Neil to eventually decide to establish his own radio station.
Every weekday morning from 8 – 10am Neil and his NOGs will wake you up with great music and chat to help set you up for the day!
Roly Keech
Roly is a seasoned professional presenter with over 45 years of experience in the broadcast and live presentation industry.
He currently presents two weekly shows on a soul music station and has worked internationally with major organisations and top-level hospitality brands, bringing a wealth of global experience and on-air expertise to every role.

Mike Hemmings
Carl Stuart
Carl and Neil also go back a long way – one day their early DJ photos will surface, and that will be that! Carl broadcasts from his home in Spain, so just ignore him when he talks about the weather…..
Steve Bocking
As a failed musician and singer at school, Steve chose to DJ, so he could play the music instead of making it. Just over fifty years later, he’s become an expert in Reggae, Motown and Northern Soul (Go on, test him!) – but he loves playing all genres of music.
New Music Generator
Established in 2011, The New Music Generator (NMG) supports emerging artists from across East Anglia. Hosted by Tim Willett from his studio in Ely, Cambridgeshire, the show plays the latest releases by upcoming artists, looks at the latest gig and event news and welcomes studio guests for acoustic live sessions and interviews.
Sue Marchant
A former BBC Regional presenter Sue Marchant loves to be busy. Keeping her hand in on radio Sue will be delivering a fabulous hour of folk and roots music.
Simone Wilson
Simone started at the age of eight playing her sister’s records for her on her Dansette record player. In the late 70s she had her own mobile roadshow playing to pubs, clubs and parties. She took to twiddling the knobs and buttons at a radio station like a duck to water! One of Simone’s radio heroes was Alan “Fluff” Freeman and the Top 40 Show is dedicated to his memory.
John Hammond
As a practising Big Band musician, John Hammond is ideally placed to bring you the best in Big Band music old and new
